Let's try this again, as it didn't seem to go the first time around. I never had the pleasure of meeting Wally in person either. I only conversed with him through numerous e-mails. The first e-mail I ever sent him was about the MSG show in NYC when Joni was touring with Dylan. It was the first time I had ever seen Joni in concert. I was so excited I remember. I attached a couple of shots I had taken of her from my less than perfect vantage point (which was behind the stage) I was a little disappointed in my seating arrangement as I'm sure you can understand having waited half a lifetime to see my idol. Having expressed this to Wally I remember him replying to my e-mail saying what a shame it was, as my photo was "very realistic." The next day I found my photo posted on his webpage. When I saw that photo, ecstatic won't even describe the way I felt! I remember just crying tears of joy. It can still be seen here: http://www.jonimitchell.com/Frames1.html I have had the distinct pleasure of talking to Jim Johanson on the telephone. Jim I know that you're lurking out there. You are swell too. ;~) well, that was my first remembrance of Wally. (sigh) Rose in NJ
