 I think his covers of Tin Angel, Urge for Going and Circle Game (which is 
the album title) predates others and vouches for the accuracy of that claim, 
though I am not a historian.
  Furthermore, Rush also covers James Taylor on the same LP and probably 
could claim to have discovered him as well.
  Also, Tom has announced on his mail list that he is having a big bash in 
St. Thomas (pun intended) in February to celebrate the fact he is turning 
fifty-nine and twelve months.  Wish I could go.
