I *think* that all of the "orchestration" that was done on this track (all the parts that sound like horns/saxes etc) was played on the VG8 in standard tuning. I think I've heard Joni say that all the "colouring" for the whole album was done in standard tuning, as this was the only way she could access all the different timbres (horns, trumpet etc etc). The main guitar part for MFM sounds like it is in an alternative tuning, but I havn't figured out which one! Howard
