And 20/20 claimed to have THE answer to what they called the mystery. And
claimed to have the first interview with him since he left the music business.
Guess you can't believe those promos.
According to this show, he was ill with tuberculosis when he was 19, but in the
interview he said it was when he almost drowned in the ocean that he promised
to work for God if he survived. And soon after that his brother gave him a copy
of the Koran and all Cat's questions were answered, and have been answered for
the last 20 years. That's so intense, his seemingly unwavering spirituality.
Rather intriguing to me. I'd call that the "mystery" of Cat Stevens. I did like
hearing his music again too... it really is sweet.
