Maybe should've tagged this NJC, but this is a gray area of the law to me, and I
thought maybe one of our Joni-onlies might be able to speak to this, so...

Speaking of non-U.S. films: "Dancer in the Dark" a new one starring Bjork is getting a
lot of press around here. It won a major award at the Cannes film festival, which
surprises me, as this is Bjork's first film. The critics seem to be split on it,
however.

Anyway. Knowing as I do that Bjork and Joni are acquainted, and that they dueted at
the Walden Woods benefit in L.A. last year, I just wonder whether the film's title was
in any way inspired by Joni's "My Old Man" lyrics from _Blue_. The film was directed
by European Lars von Trier, but I can't imagine the title's coincidence being lost on
Bjork. Who knows? Anyone?
