I had first met Kenny at Julie's in 1998. He seemed kind of shy. I think
it was a surreal moment to many of us there .... meeting JMDLers and
singing Joni tunes. We we're all more or less strangers but yet felt
uniquely bonded.
On the ride back to the hotel that evening I sat next to Kenny in the
car. Something or someone bought up the movie " Serial Mom" (a John Waters
film) we both looked at each other and said "you do not wear white after
Labor Day" and chuckled. My first words with Kenny!
A pleasant memory I will cherish.
