Good points, Marcel.
>From something I wrote to David Lahm, who wrote to me
privately on this subject:
<< I was just 4 years old in 1962, and 9 in
1967. I'm relying on David Frum's research to a
certain extent (but he's two years younger than I am;
what's he know?!), and on my own idea that the events
you just mentioned were what really "got the ball
rolling."
You're surely correct about '67 being when Corporate
America began making money from hippie lifestyles,
which is probably the main thing that influenced my
idea that things weren't really "happening" until
then.>>

> the late MID 60's. Just for the record.
Now I have to ask this: what album had The Beatles
just released at that time?
