i picked up a copy of the "crossroads" soundtrack recently, put it on &
almost wet my pants when i heard the opening notes. only 1 word - awesome -
gotta be one of the best soundtrack i have ever heard. an added bonus is
sonny terry on harmonica.
i went straight out & got another 2 albums of his "slide area" & "why dont
you try me tonight?" - will definitely be getting more very soon

i dont know much about piano, but carole king always sounded to me like a
high school music teacher. please feel free to educate me if im wrong.
having said that, i do own & love "tapestry". i also caught a concert of her
on tv not to long ago & really loved it.

seems to be a bit of controversy about clapton. i dont know - hes a great
guitarist, i really wouldnt know or care if hes a saint, but i would
suspect, that just like the rest of us hes pretty much a mixture of both. i
just never heard anything i liked by him. it all just sounds so bland &
boring to me. its all about personal taste i guess.
this list really seems to be a good place to get educated ...........
