I've been in serious lurk mode for awhile, though. I've
been scanning the digests. I loved the article about
Don Freed, but I agree with the person who said
yesterday that it sounded a bit mean in places.

BarBearUh, I cried for the loss of your beautiful,
ancient, neighborhood tree. When I lived in the city, I
cried when they cut down a little tree across from my
house to build a high rise. I so dislike the killing of
trees that I get depressed in December when I see cut
trees being sold in Christmas tree lots and even more
depressed to see the sad, discarded trees after the new
year. I have never and will never buy a cut Christmas
tree.
I'm expecting a Joni friend at the end of November and
am really looking forward to the visit.
Not much else is new. Something Joni happened recently,
but I can't remember now what it was. Getting old, I
guess.
