Well, where does one start?!?!?!

So many songs so little time...

I know that me older brother can't hear Amelia without wanting to cry (he
wanted to fly)

Certain songs made me cry when I heard them at specific moments

Harry's House made me burst into uncontrollable tears once when I was 20. My
parents were going through a separation. And it seemed that song chronicled
my parents married life for a while. I could even hear my mum saying on the
phone 'When'll you be home Darly?' (darly was their pet name for each other,
short for darling) and this song I played it when there was an impasse in
the arguments and the fighting. It was a trying time for both my brother and
I. I play the song on the guitar now and I remember the bad times, nearly 8
years ago. I guess I couldn't believe that Joni knew what she was singing
about. The hiss of suburbia, like a pressure cooker going off in the
kitchen, waiting to blow...

Sisotowbell Lane has really sweet sentiments especially in the last verse
about
'we always do,
we'll wait for you'

My Secret Place
' Out of all of the girls that you see,
in bleachers and cafe windows,
sitting flirting with someone,
looking to have some fun,
why did you pick me?'

Down To You:
'In the mornings there are lovers in the street
They look so high
You brush against a stranger and you both apologise'

That feeling when a pair of lovers being in love taking your attention,
pointing out your loneliness, by their affection, and you bump into someone,
so taken by their loveliness (in the original sense of the word). Like a
punch in the guts.

Lesson In Survival
'I went to see a friend tonight
Was Very late when I walked in
My talking as it rambled
Revealed suspicious reasonings
My visit seemed to darken him.

I told him these things I'm telling you now
watched them buckle up in his brow
When you did too deep
You lose good sleep
And makes you heavy company

I will always love you

Hands alike
Magnets and Iron
The souls.'

Such breathtaking sadness and longing.

Well, I'm off to bed now, trying to set up my internet to surftime. I still
can't get the download thingy

Much Joni
