Here's what's crazy.

Gore won the popular vote.  But for a Florida county where over 3,000
predominately Jewish and predominantly Democratic voters inexplicably voted
for a right-wing nutcase who has publicly questioned the reality of the
Holocaust, Gore would have won the electoral college as well.

By every reasonable measure of "the people's will," Gore won the election,
but Bush might take office on a technicality.  A technicality!!

I was so heartened to see the (relatively) big voter turnout this year.  If
this "technical victory" is allowed to stand, some of these reluctant voters
might never vote again.
