It certainly did! and we were damn lucky at times...
i think by about 5:00am every morning that car was
damn near driving itself, given our sleep-deprived and
delirious states!
having recently moved to the big big city, i sold my
trusty, loyal and wonderful subaru station wagon
(given name: shaneeqwa, the african queen. nicknamed:
telluride tilly in honor of her first road trip).
i really miss having her, because it's how i used to
deal with being blue or nostalgic, as well as how i
used to deal with getting away from it all. i used to
do alot of aimless driving with joni or jonatha or ani
blasting at top levels as my worries blew out the
window with my cigarette smoke...
but alas, those days are gone for now. and you sure
can't smoke on the train. maybe i should try the
staten island ferry...
