Foni Mitchell headlined at the "Transmission Performance Cabaret" music club in Birmingham UK on Saturday 11th November. (Short) set list as follows: I Had A King Carey California (dedicated to Mel, the Californian MC) You Turn Me On I'm A Radio A Case of You Free Man In Paris Big Yellow Taxi (featuring the audience, who performed the last "Put up a parking lot" line on their own, the band having stopped to let them!) Transmission is a small, intimate (capacity 100ish) monthly music club in the centre of Birmingham. This was FM's first appearance there, and was very well received by the standing-room only audience. It also featured the live debut of Clive's new 5-string custom bass, the bits for which were imported from Washington State. Clive was out when it arrived in three packages, and his long-suffering wife had to part with 150 in duties before the courier would hand it over! Clive has a condition called "GAS" (Guitar Acquisition Syndrome). FM next play on 29th November with sometime Fairporter Vikki Clayton at the Boundary Hotel, Walsall.
