The song's called Doesn't Really Matter, and it is indeed from a movie -
The Nutty Professor 2, of all things, which she also stars in. It's a
pretty neat video, though I still prefer the 80s-style Janet both
musically and visually. I had to buy the CD single for a friend in
Europe, so the song grew on me eventually.

Do you mean *innate*? Innertia would not easily facilitate funky
movement! ;-)

Velvet Rope was underrated, especially here in the UK. Sometimes I wish
she'd make shorter albums instead of these 70-minute sprawling epics
with 12 between-track snippets. Control was 40 minutes of concise
perfection. Of course, to be a credible r&b act these days, the
70-minute album is a necessity.
