Greetings all,
I think it was Wally who not long ago mentioned he was listening to Joan
Baez's "Gulf Winds" album (I think he was having a margarita at the time)
and how much he was enjoying it. Perhaps now that I don't drink, it was
the concept of relaxing with a good album and a tasty cocktail that
nabbed me, but I bought a copy that week ($2- gotta love that used
vinyl!!!) AND I LOVE IT! I haven't put much else on the turntable since
then, but keep flipping it over and over (the title track is my fave, but
it's all good). I'm wondering if anyone has a suggestion for another Baez
purchase. I have a few others already - "Diamonds & Rust", "The First 10
Years", and "The Best of Joan C. Baez". I used to own "Play Me Backwards"
and that was pretty good also. Outside of those, any ideas? I like the
contemporary sounding stuff a little more, but the early more traditional
material has it's merits ("The First 10 Years" has a lot of it.) Any
suggestions would be a help. Thanks, Chris
NP: "Seabirds" -Joan Baez
