<< Not sure what that means... "Flanders">>

Ned Flanders is Homer Simpson's next-door neighbor...they are the sort of
type that are easy prey for the marketers that would have you believe that
Christians should only listen to & buy "Christian" music...

<< The arrogance of some of these business things cloaked in religion is
 astounding, and humorous!>>

One of the reasons I profess to be a Christian is so that people will know
that all of them act like that!

<< so I guess I am asking: what do others suggest for five or ten songs for
God's
playlist on HIS (sic) radio station?>>

Well, surely "Love" would be there, as well as "The Sire of Sorrow".
"Passion Play" is an obvious choice. "Dear God" from XTC if God wanted to
strike up a little controversy, or "Chocolate Jesus" from Tom Waits.

Keb Mo would be a popular artist as well, besides the fact that he plays and
sings like a champ, he's got a couple of songs that would be in heavy
rotation. I'd love for our church to sing a spirited version of "Get On Your
Knees & Pray"...

Lots of others...one of the joys of teaching Sunday School to 11th & 12th
graders for a number of years was showing them the spiritual side of
"secular" music, and especially sharing the poetry and beauty of Joni's songs.
