Thanks to Ashara, Simon, all the other contributors, and my branch, Brian,
for the latest JMDL video tree. Some really great stuff there!

The early Joni performances are amazing. She is strikingly beautiful and
the audio has been well preserved. This is most precious. I had not seen
her play the guitar like that before, sometimes forming barres with her
left hand on top of the neck, instead of the more-conventional under the
neck position.

The "Much Music" segment is fantastic as well. Joni looks very relaxed in
her bib overalls, and seems genuinely happy to be on stage. She was in fine
voice that evening and it's always a treat to see and hear her play an
acoustic guitar.

I had seen photographs of many of the paintings which were exhibited at the
Mendel but the video gives glimpes at nearly the entire collection. Thanks
also to those involved for the program or catalog that goes with this
tape...it's nice to be able to put real titles to these paintings, and to
get to know some of the background information.

Thank you once again to all who contributed to this project.

Scott
