The new, official Jaco Pastorius website, www.jacopastorius.com went live on his birthday, December 1. Happy Birthday, dear departed Jaco! It's a work in progress and a labor of love by his son-in-law John, his daughter Mary and sons Julius and Felix. Not much Joni content yet, but I'm hoping that she'll be featured more prominently once the "scrapbook" section reaches critical mass. Jaco's wife Ingrid Pastorius is an honorary JMDL listmember, if not one in fact, as she did an interview with Wally Breese for JoniMitchell.com. It's a good read, and the pictures of her (and Jaco) are easy on the eyes. Check it out over there. I have the pleasure of corresponding with Ingrid from time to time and she speaks fondly of this list and its members, including our wirlypearl. Maybe Pearl will revisit her story of meeting Ingrid at a garage sale, one of my favorite jmdl posts of all time, in honor of the occasion. What do you say, Pearl? -Julius
