Fair enough, but first some background. Since I don't have any money, I'm not
buying posters on eBay. Therefore I'm not your competition. And you do not
represent competition to me, so I'll advise. Notice though Christopher, that
you are asking other Joni fans (read: your competition) for advice on how to
beat them in an auction.

My brother taught me that the trick to winning is not to constantly lead the
auction. The way to win (ie. to get the stuff without paying too much) is to
"snipe". You schedule your day around hovering over the computer _as your
target auction closes_. You log in minutes before the close, opening one
browser session to observe the price (using the Refresh key, naturally). In
another browser session you prepare to bid, hovering over the Enter key that
will send your completed bid. You bid once, hitting the enter key only
seconds before the auction closes.

My brother, a former used car salesman, suggests using one email address for
your "nice" bidding practices and second email address for your "snipe"
activities. He explained that he was able to steal an auction from a friend
whom he'd promised to never bid against. He didn't get caught. <shudder>
Nice guy, eh?
