I actually thought about going tonight to see Ronnie James Dio with opening
act Yngwie M. at the Masquerade in Atlanta *only* because I saw the same
show way back in 1985 at the Lakeland Civic Center in Florida. I even still
have the tour shirt I bought(and wore to school the next day along with a
dozen other people).
I was thinking how nostalgic it would be to go a heavy metal show and
pretend that I had slipped back in time 15 years. But the one thing I
remember from that show is that it was way too loud (even for heavy metal)
and in a way it seems sort of comical, to go see these bands now in a small
club, being that Dio has always had somewhat of a big ego though I imagine
it's somewhat deflated now.
I'd rather sit here at home where its warm and listen to Joao Gilberto sing.
