I went last night to a gathering for NYC alumni of Amherst College and heard
two very good musicians, Jennifer Kimball (vocals, guitar and ukulele) and
Mark Shulman (sp?) on guitar (hooked up to not VG8 but an analog setup that
does some of the same things).

Jennifer Kimball played for 15 years with Jonatha Brooke, beginning when they
met as Amherst students about 1982. She lives and works around Boston,
recently played a "folk" festival (it was jokingly promoted as a Miss Folk
America Contest and she was Miss Somerville)---Dar Williams was a special
attraction.

I thought Mark and Jennifer played together beautifully; there was a lot of
music going on and with no "rhythm section," they cooked up a mighty cauldron
of energy.

She is going to let me know of future performances and I will pass these on
to you all. I had a really good time.
