Hi Azeem,
I'm trying to hold out until at least after Christmas before doing my
"Best Of The Year" review. This time around, I have my website, so I
will most likely do some kind of feature on there, with my top films and
CDs of 2000 included. Was a funny year, especially in the UK, where the
difference in what was around, and what was successful, grew wider than
ever. But more of that another time.
Thanks to your recommendation, I checked out that free Q CD and as a
result I got the Goldfrapp album, because I fell in love with Utopia on
first listen.
I ordered the Fiona Apple CD last night, as at this time of year I
always seem to go on a binge of buying all the recommended albums that
people have singled out over the previous 12 months. See also : Badly
Drawn Boy, Kelis, Eminem, Foo Fighters.
I must get the Aimee Mann, though. I make do with Magnolia, which is an
awesome collection of songs, but I really ought to have Bachelor #2 as
well.
What's the Shea Seager album like? I'm curious about this one..I might
put it on my post-Xmas shopping list if I know what to expect.
