Again, it's interesting how differently people react to the same thing. I loved
Richard Thompson's voice instantly, imperfect though it is. To my ears, it
comes right from his heart and is emotionally genuine and very rich sounding
(compared to Don Henley or Paul Simon, for example, who IMO are lightweights
voice-wise, with the sound coming right from their throats). I find it a such a
pleasure and comfort to hear his voice, and then there's his guitar playing
too, and those challenging sassy lyrics....
