...okay so a while back I had a little rant about how the general public
seems to think She/Herself/The Goddess stopped writing Good Songs
in the 70s. To end the millenium, how about a thread of "Best Joni Songs
from WTRF onwards" or some such?

My list, at the moment, in order of recording...

1.Chinese Cafe/Unchained Melody
2.Impossible Dreamer
3.My Secret Place
4.Number One
5.Passion Play (When All the Slaves Are Free)
6.Cherokee Louise
7. Magdalene Laundries
8. Sire of Sorrow (Job's Sad Song)
9. Harlem in Havana
10. Crazy Cries of Love

And maybe we could think of who might cover them, in the future. I know Joni
hoped that Aretha would do "Ladies' Man", for instance. And hats off to Don
Rowe for suggesting the Dixie Chicks to cover "Ray's Dad's Cadillac".

Happy Holidays to all.

Patrick in Vancouver.
