<<My Joni Cd library has a gap between Chalk Mark and T I so i do not know
of
any other CW Joni?.>>

Probably the bulk of her reportoire could be interpreted in C&W, or any
other genre I suppose..."You Turn Me On, I'm A Radio" has a strong country
bent to it as Joni recorded it.

Among the earliest covers of Joni were the covers by George Hamilton IV who
was basically a C&W singer. Winnona is basically C&W but she did "Help Me"
pretty much straight up without diverting much from Joni's original
version.

There's a great countrified version of BSN by Baillie & The Boys included
in our Covers series.

I recently got a 1991 interview with Joni on a CBC show called "Swingin' On
A Star" where she stated that her own home town of Saskatoon didn't stock
her records because it was basically a country & western town.
