A week from tomorrow I depart for London, where I will be for six days,
then I go to Cape Town, South Africa through the end of March. Because my
access to email will be limited during this time, I will be signing off
the list for a bit.
I will be emailing out periodic updates of my travels/travails to various
friends; if you're interested in receiving those, please let me know, and
I will add you to the list. Also, if there are any listers in London
and/or Cape Town who might be interested in getting together for a drink,
let me know. My schedule looks busy, so I cannot make promises, but I
surely want to try to hook up if at all possible.
Regretfully, I won't have much time to offer my thoughts on 2000's best
anything or deliver long-promised-if-not-awaited emails on Me'Shell
NdegeOcello and on Madonna's latest triumph. Perhaps after I return? I
will say that Eminem's _Marshall Mathers LP_ and "The Real Slim Shady" are
far and away the best album and single of the year to my ears...
