What appeared to me to @ first be a flute on track one , is, after several
listenings, a synthesizer? Thats amazing, beautiful effect, really.And on
second listen, actually sounds reminiscent of an oboe.Since there isn't any
info on instruments used, I'm left to guessing.That same effect is found
throughout the album, on many of the tracks.BTW, track 3- "Portraits", is an
exceptionally beautiful melody, I love that one.And the real surprise is "Good
Kings Trio", a great, jazzy piece with what sounds like trumpet playing
(synthesizer, too? Or is it the real thing?) I can't tell anymore, all I know
is - it's phenomenal! My only complaint is that MP3 should allow for more info
re: instruments, players etc. on the liner. Please clue me in on what effects
and/ or insruments you used on this, Don. I also love that 'tinkling' sound
heard on many tracks- gives the effect of ice falling on a snowy day.Thanks
