i'm not trying to be picky here, but this is somethng that has become
increasingly annoying this year.
the way i understand it is that this has been the first year of the new
millenium, and that 2001 is actually the first year of the new century with
2000 closing 20th century.
so, on january first we will be celebratin teh new century, not the new
millenium. Now, i dont know if this is right it's just something that i was
taught as a child that most people don't seem to remember. whenever i've
said that to people i have ended up being slagged for my stupidity. but as
teh year wore on, i convinced myself that i'm right.
does anyone know teh truth???
