I was watching Toronto's CFTO TV last night. They're celebrating their 30th anniversary and had some old clips from the sixties. When they mentioned their "After Four" show, which was designed for young people, they said that Joni Mitchell made her first TV appearance on that show. They showed a clip of Joni spreading open her dress to reveal a huge colourful print -- sort of Joni's Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The clip was probably from 1967. This was truly remarkable. I had never heard of her appearance on this show. They also mentioned a B&W folk music show called Let's Sing Out, which I know Joni appeared on (I believe audio tapes of this are circulating).
