Yes, and The Dan also got a nomination for Pop Vocal by a Duo or Group. Who's
the duo, Donald & Donald? I don't have the credits in front of me, but I
doubt that Walter and Donald are doing any duets! Oh well, I learned years
ago not to expect much from Grammy and to be pleasantly surprised when they
make a decent choice.
And what's up with Macy Gray? Don't get me wrong; the record is GREAT, but it
came out in the Spring of '99. The eligibility period is 10/1/99 to 9/30/00.
She's not eligible, although they probably use the date that a single was
released to nominate it. Most of the sales for Macy came in 2000, so I guess
they consider it eligible! ;~)
Back to the Dan...they're competing against N'Sync and Backstreet Boys, which
I'm sure is cracking them up. Not to mention the fact that they didn't a
quadjillion copies of 2VN like the other boy bands so they've got your basic
snowball's chance. I'm sure they're not going to lose any sleep over it
either way...
