Hold on a minute. The NY Times accuses Chavez (who was entirely unknown to
me 2 weeks ago) of being a hypocrite for being "fiercely critical" of Ms.
Baird. But the Chavez quote simply says,
"I think most of the American people were upset during the Zok Baird
>> nomination that she had hired an illegal alien. That was what upset them
>> more than the fact that she did not pay Social Security taxes."
That's not an attack at all. She's guessing at what the public found
objectionable. Now maybe she actually did say something critical but the
quote above does not prove the Times' assertion.
