Here we now have LPG(liquid petroloeum gas). It is very cheap, at about 75 cents a litre. Trouble is it costs about $2500 to convert ythe car to run on it. It is also not yet widely available. It is supposedly cleaner. Electric cars also run here and have done for a while.
