Greetings everyone! Most of you probably don't know me but I've been a member of the
list since the early days. I spend most of my time in lurk mode, but I try to stay
current, and for the most part, greatly enjoy being a part of this wonderful
community.
It was exactly for that reason that I agreed to participate in the Joni print fund
raiser that is currently going on for both the JMDL and jonimitchell.com. As you
hopefully know, aside from paying for the actual printing, all proceeds from the sale
of these pictures are going to the websites.
I would like to thank everyone that's already purchased one of these prints, and I
hope you are enjoying it. Everytime you look at it, you should smile knowing that you
contributed to keeping this great community alive.
Now for the contest. As my way of thanking everyone who purchased one of the prints,
and for all you lucky Festers who received one from Ashara last fall, I am sponsering
a little contest. For you stragglers who have been meaning to help out by buying one
of these pictures - fear not - the contest won't start until February 21, 5 weeks from
today, so you still have plenty of time to send in your payment and participate in
this little event!
Currently there are three prizes that I will be giving out, but I'm hoping to dig up a
few more treasures before the contest begins. Current prizes are an unopened copy of
the Grace of My Heart soundtrack with the rare Joni version of Man From Mars on it, an
unopened VHS tape of Refuge of the Roads, and a hand colored version of the Joni
print. If anyone has any other Joni items they would like to donate as prizes, the
more the merrier.
The concept of the contest is this - on February 21, at approximately 8:00pm CST, I
will send an email to the List containing a series of questions that can only be
answered by referring to the Joni drawing. For those of you in digest mode, if you
send me an email ahead of time, I will also email the questions directly to you at the
same time, so no one has an advantage. Some of the questions will be pretty simple,
but some of them will be a little devious! The first people to send me the correct
answers will win the prizes. Because someone might already have one of the items, the
winners will get to pick their prize, based on the sequence that I receive their
replies. It's that simple!
If you have any questions regarding this, please feel free to email me at
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
Once again, the questions won't go out until February 21, so if you haven't made your
purchase yet, get busy! And for all of you who have already got your pictures, mark
your calendars for February 21st!
And thanks again for helping keep these wonderful sites up and running.
