What are your favorite *live* Joni tracks? My local roots-oriented AAA
station plays music recorded in-concert once a week. I told the host that
I'd 'pitch' some stuff to her. Amazingly she's willing to spin unreleased
stuff, "if it's good".
I'm especially interested in what gems people like best from the uhhhmmm
unreleased recordings that have been circulating.
To get the ball rolling, my current favorite is the 2000 BSN Tour version of
"The Judgment of the Moon and Stars (Ludwig's Tune)". I don't think it fits
in between Cheryl Crow and Dar Williams though. It might be a tough sell
because, like BB King, it's almost outside the format.
What do you think? Would the spoken intro for "Magdalene Laundries" be
boring to the radio listeners?
Can anyone point me to a live version of "The Last Time I Saw Richard?"
I don't have a track list of Simon's tape trees. Has anyone built one?
There's a great version of "Real Good, For Free" somewhere, but..... where?
Which of the Joni & James tracks do you recommend for airplay?
Who wants to share with the class? Hands please?
