Thanks to the several of you who answered my request to resend Kakki's (aka Miss Los Angeles) preliminary gathering report. I look forward to the final report. One of the things that I love about LA is that there are all kinds of famous people who have lived there obviously and their houses (if wall could talk) make for interesting visits. Last year I was down there and a life long Angelino took me on a tour of several places including marylin Monroes bungalo and the crime scene of the OJ incident. Of course that trip to about five places doesnt begin to scratch the scratch on the surface but it was realy interesting. The other thing is their encountering a "fantastic" band they had never heard of. I experience this in both New York when I go there and in LA every time I go there. All budding star wannabes go to these places and play for peanuts and never get discovered leaving legions of listeners with vivid memories of incredible people they will always wonder why they never "made it". Of course I havent been to Chicago (a dream I must someday fulfil) and I havent been to Nashville or Memphis (likewise) where the same can probably be said. But kakkis report made me think of this.
