Adverts contribute to people's lack of self esteem by constantly telling people they
are
not good enough. Two ads that really piss me off: one is for McCain oven chips where it
actually says that if you don't serve these to your kids, you anit a good mum! And thos
awful 'because I'm worth it' Loreal ads. And the wrinkle cream ads. Not only do they
show
impossibly pretty women, who are young, but they also airbrush the wrinkles away! The
creams cost a fortune. The sad thing is people fall for it all the time. They fall for
the
'taking care of myself shows I have good esteem' crap! I find the whole business of ads
sickening. Most prgrammes(oif not on BBC) I record so that I can whiz thru the ads!
