You lucky dog, you! I thought I was lucky to have outbid someone on a
Goldmine auction in '90 to get a
Japanese re-issue of "Hejira" that was still sealed! It's gorgeous but the
only problem is the liner notes are in
Japanese! If there's a Japanese lister out there who could translate them for
me,please e-mail me privately,
because after they're translated I would make copies available for listers. I
understand their liner notes are
superior to American ones both in length & in detail (these are 2 pages
long). But my copy doesn't have the
raised lettering & the vinyl isn't from analog --the sound must be outstanding
on yours!

Now since I haven't been with the list all that long, I guess you're
referring to an old thread & who you all
concluded "Furry" to be. Please explain because all this time I assumed she
was referring to "Furry" Lewis,
the jazz great, which I've read in certain reviews of the album (critics just
assuming wrongly?)
BTW, I also agree with you, Brenda & Patricia about the "ofay" explanation for
"fay"--it makes the most
sense in the context of the song to me.
All the best,
Megan :~)
