Once in college we had a cheap wine party. I bought a small bottle of Wild
Irish Rose, drank maybe three quarters of it and within the hour was passed
out asleep on the couch. I'd much rather drink a case of wine that will
leave me standing. I can think of different relationships I've been in that
would fit this analogy on both ends. Then on the other hand, you have the
Golden Paliminos "Drunk With Passion". But I think when people take songs
so literally, they are completely missing the point or maybe they're just
fixated on instant gratification along with so much of the world. And also,
where does it say that she drank the whole case in one evening, or even
drank a case at all because she says, " I could....drink a case of you..."
I've been thinking alot lately about the power of love, and what it means to
truly love someone, to be swept away, and to still have both feet on the
ground at the same time. That doesn't happen very often.
