Does anyone know what yesterday was? It was one year ago that Wally Breese
passed away. I happened to be watching the Painting With Words video and I
spotted Wally a few times, but the funny thing was that I never caught a
glimpse of Jim Johanson.
Anyway I emailed Jim and told him about my recent discovery and he answered me
<Who, incidentally, died a year ago today. Sigh.>
If you take notice, Jim and Wally are sitting directly behind Joni onstage.
Quite a few times I saw Joni turn around and look back at the two of them.
Wally just looks on smiling in full admiration. Jim seemed a little less
composed, he was bopping to the music and grinning from ear to ear.(sorry
Jim, just my observation :~)
Since it wasn't officially confirmed until midnight, let's take this day in
celebration of Wally Breese's life and to his commitment and joy he had in
creating Joni Mitchell.com.
Jim, you rock on!
