Wally... when Joni had Wally Breese over to her house, it was one of the classiest and kindest acts that she could have done... that action elevated her as a person in my esteem, beyond just being an extraordinary artist, but as well and extraordinary person who had done one of the most loving and generous things ever. How many stars/artists care about their fans as Joni cared for Wally in this weekend? To have had Wally over at that point in his life... no stoking the star machinery her, just being a real human being giving Wally a very special moment in his life. And Wally's write-up... it brings tears to read again, 'A Week-end with Joni' made more poignant that it was about this wonderful weekend (and written) so close to when he died. Wally shared this all with us - a real act of generousity in that his health and strength were not all that super when he worked on this for us. http://www.jonimitchell.com/JoniTrip.html This other link is familiar to the old timers but for the newer JMDL posters, or those who haven't this in a while, it has nothing to do with Wally except that I think he had a great sense of humor, one of the reasons his website sparkles beyond mere adoration and becomes the transcendent joy that it is. http://faculty.uca.edu/james.murray/joni150.gif Wally, living and with us always in our memories... (the Rev) Vince and thanks Jim for keeping Wally's legacy alive
