Today I get the Chicago Tribune printed 29 January 2001 (I have a mail
subscription and the mail is slow, what can I say?).

I am reading the article about Michael Bennett's first professional
boxing match. Bennett was the captain of the US Olympic boxing team. I
am following Bennett's career because he went to the same very small
college that I did, North Park in Chicago. (He didn't graduate; after
his first year he got busted for armed robbery, served time, learned to
box in Joliet - state prison, you might know Joliet through the Blues
Boerthers movies. But we still went to the same very small college and
we claim all the alumni we can...)

And there it is in the paper: at the fight was the Inspector for the New
York Athletic Commission: Michael Paz!

Michael, since there can only be one of you, why didn't you ever tell us
about your boxing gigs?

(the Rev) Vince
