Lawsy lawsy! (as my grandma Bess used to say).  Fear of Music! One of those albums 
burned into my brain.

Edgy.  Rhythmic.  Full of ideas.  Beautifully surreal.  Funny.


This album just spoke to me as a chronically sleep deprived study-geek undergrad.    
Another reason it looms so large amongst my musical best beloveds:  remember Air 
Supply?  They
were unescapable on the very conservative and culturally timid campus I attended.  
Fear of Music in the walk man just made them go away . . .
