I am a little puzzled by the Enya bashing.  I only have "Watermark" but
agree with what Chris T. wrote about her music being somewhat cutting edge
when it first came out in the late 80s - it definitely sounded unique at the
time.  Maybe it sounds like all the rest of the New Age music to some now,
but then I would have never thought to consider it that at all.  To me is
sounded more like some ancient Celtic hymms that had been electronica'ed
into present day.  There is a lot of beauty there. Being a Celt myself, I
was quite taken by it on some ancestral memory level. But if Enya was *all*
I heard all day, I might start getting a bit irritated ;-D Maybe the Irish
listers Philip and Garret can give us their take (if they dare at this
point!)

I think she is a dark horse but I also think we have a good chance of being
happily surprised
