That's correct.  Most all the music clubs were on Sunset back in the day.
There was a small riot there back in around '67 when the cops tried to
disperse the crowds of mostly teenagers.  The riot is immortalized in Neil
Young's "For What It's Worth."

Joni was so homesick to get back she would even kiss one of those
hippie-hatin cops on Sunset ;-)
