A sunset pig in 'California' is an old antique wooden pig she had in her
Laurel Canyon house.
It's in the Jim Marshall pic of her at the piano with the DULCIMER...LOL!
It can be seen in the 1976 biography 'Joni Mitchell, Her Life, Her Loves,
Her Music...
