Hi everyone,
Im Kammy from Alabama. Im new to this list and the computer, but not to
Joni. I've been reading yalls posts for a few days and have learned so much
already. What a great forum to talk about Joni!! Have to admit its a bit
confusing at times, but I'll get it. What is a "tape tree" ?
Im 30 yrs old and have been listening to Joni for about 7 or 8 yrs. I was
first turned on to Joni through BMG Music Club, Court and Spark was one of my
chosen free CDs. I played it non stop!! (cant even remember what the other
10 CDs were) I have always be interested in music from the 50's, 60's, and
70's-mostly folk and rock n roll. Anyway...
I love collecting Joni memorabilia!! I own anything I can get my hands on
thats Joni!!(big ebayer) I've seen Joni three times-all have been wonderful
venues, such great locations!!! Im so excited to meet other interested in
Joni. They are few and far between here in Birmingham!! My friends and
husband know of Joni but dont appreciate her so therefore the three times I
have seen Joni two of which were by myself. (so look for me when she comes
south!!)
I saw her at Jazzfest in NO(sat in horse poop all day) was worth it, went to
"A Day in the Garden" by myself (stood up all day on the front so not to lose
the great spot I had) was worth it, and then saw this last tour in Atlanta at
Chastain Park (8 months preg., by myself) totally worth it!! If you are ever
in Atlanta its a must!!!
Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself to yall. As you can see I will
practically go to the ends of the earth to experience a piece of Joni
history.
Thanks for this great place to voice such issues once again.
Oh, heres a great artist's website Scramble Campbell's his name. He was the
official artist at "A Day in the Garden" has a great painting of Joni, told
me last week he'd sell it for 2, 000.00. Too much for me, but someone who
loves Joni needs to own it!! www.scramblecampbell.com
bye for now,
kammy
