I have finally caught up on all those digests! so, i may be hogging a bit
of bandwidth tonight! how long will this last? until the first digest of
tomorrow arrives!!
i'm one of those people that responds to something that was posted about
three days ago, without ever checking if any progress has been made on that
thread! lol, so if any of you new guys find that happening, don't worry!!
it's natural!! in fact, i'd be worried if it didnt happen to me!
WELCOME guys!

well, to get to the point, slowly but surely as ever:-) i guess this is JC,
but i'm not too sure if it *actually* qualifies. sorry if it bugs you, but
i'm sure you'll love this as much as i did!!
My good friend and drinks buddy Chris Marshall, from Cambridge in England of
all wonderful places, took the time to schweh on over to cloudy Dublin last
month to visit the city, and to say hi to me while he was here:-)
and what can i say, but i'm a great host!! no seriously, we did havr a
great time. well, at the end of january Chris sent me a wonderful, sweet
email. and this is all done with Chris permission.

the voice you will here next belongs to Chris Marshall (with me on backing
vocals:-D

I'd been thinking of "parodying" Chelsea Morning since
my 2nd or 3rd day in Dublin. So here it is: I changed
things that would fit, but left other lines alone. I
hope you like it!

Woke up, it was a Dublin morning, and
the first thing that I heard
was the sound of church bells ringing, out of
time and out of tune
It came ringing up to hurt my ears
and ripped straight through my hang-over

Oh, can't I stay
We'll put on the day
And we'll wear it till the night comes

Woke up, it was a Dublin morning, and
the first things that I saw
Were the wheel clamps on the parked cars, and
the cleaner at my door
Mops and sprays and towels to put out,
and a scowl made in my nightmares

Oh, can't I stay
We'll put on the day
There's a sun show every second

Now the curtain opens on a
portrait of today
And the streets are full of ejits drunk
And seagulls fly
And papers lie
Waiting to blow away

Woke up, it was a Dublin morning, and
the first thing that I knew
Was my tourguide would turn up soon
Demanding cups of strong tea too
Then he walked in with a wide smile
that stuck to all my senses

Oh, can't I stay,
We'll put on the day
And talk with constant interruptions

When the curtain closes and the
rainbow runs away
I will bring you MGDs by night
By candlelight
By jewellight
If only I can stay
Oh pretty baby, can't I
Woke up, it was a Dublin morning

and NO chris, i dont think its too "in-joke". it's perfect.
Love and Luck
