I agree with this assessment & I've tried to say the same thing
before. The song does have an underlying theme & although it may
contain some personal references that the rest of us can only guess
at, it is not 'disjointed'. I happen to like it too.

There's that reference to the moon again. In Willy she called it 'the
conquered moon' and in Don't Interrupt the Sorrow the man says 'We
walked on the moon, you be polite.'
I get the feeling that it really bugs Joni that humans have landed on
the moon. As if the moon has been defiled or demystified somehow.
