Hi Everyone!!!
It's great to be back home after a wonderful trip to Deer Valley, Utah.
I checked all over Salt Lake City for some dirt on Alison E., but she lived a
clean life there. The Osmonds said nothing but good things about her :~)
For myself, I looked everywhere for a good looking, financially secure,
humorous, gay Mormon that liked Joni Mitchell, but no luck :(
I missed watching the Grammy's, but heard that Joni and Vince both received
an award. I also heard that Joni looked radiant as a presenter. Way to go
Joan!!!!
Upon my return to Ft. Myers, I had received two wonderful packages from
JMDLer's. Thanks to Steve Polifka for a great Joni promo video, and more
importantly Steve's own single of "Man From Mars". Excellent Steve! You are
one talented musician.
Also thanks to Mr. Muller for Joni "Covers and Contributions Vol. 14". I've
only listened to it once, but I think it's as good as Vol. 13. That Lydia
Van Dam is one hell of a singer, and Mark Murphy's beautiful voice shines on
"Barnandgrill". I was also very impressed with Richard Isen, Will Taylor,
Beth Orton, and Marian Hoiting Kwartet . Most of the artists did a great job
with the Joni tunes, but I must admit even though I was raised listening to
Stan Getz, he makes BSN sound like theme song to an old 60's comedy show.
Anyway, thanks to all of you that contributed to Bob's project.
I also hope that all of our friends in the Seattle area (Hi Mark) escaped any
damage from the horrible earthquake. I didn't even know about it until this
morning.
Kakki, I hope you had a great time in Hawaii, and WallyK are you back from
lusting after the Canadian Mounties? We missed *the* official birthday fairy!
...and Ashara dear, have you officially announced the Labor Day fest yet?
I've got some great new tofu recipes :~)
So it's good to be back online again with all my Joni pals! Tonight I get to
watch William Shatner host the Miss USA Pageant. I just want to see if
Leonard Nimoy will join him in belting out "Both Sides Now".........and
Martha Stewart's one of the judges (and that's a good thing) :~)
