Dear Friends---
I have arranged for JUDY'S CHELSEA, the cabaret restaurant where my wife,
Judy and I are partners, to be the site for a JoniFest on Saturday afternoon
and evening and Sunday afternoon of Memorial Day weekend (May 26th and 27th).

Because there are so many things to do in the city, the place will charge a
$10 admission for each of the three time slots. That should provide the
maximum flexibility for those who want to go to theatre, hang in Central
Park, visit friends, whatever.

The food menu is very good, reasonably priced and the portions are more than
generous. At the afternoon sessions, brunch will be available ($12.95).
Saturday evening, there will be the regular menu plus a $12.95 prix fixe
dinner of:

                                    SOUP or SALAD

                                          choice of

                              Pasta special with chicken

                               Pasta special vegetarian

                                     Chicken special

                                         Pork chops

                                         Broiled fish

                                           ******
                                            Dessert (LOOK OUT!!!)

                                         Coffee or tea

Anyone who wants to see the regular brunch and dinner menus, please let
me have your mailing address and I'll mail them to you.

Of course the bar will be open at all times.
                                             ***********

The cabaret is an elegant fifty-seat performance space with a stage,
excellent grand piano and space for supporting musicians. Rather than try to
structure a concert, I thought we would use it more like Paz's living room
was last year, with impromptu songs but also prepared performances from those
interested in doing sets (20 to 30 minutes?) I am happy to accompany anyone
who would like me to. I also could have my excellent bassist, Ratzo Harris,
on hand, to read charts and add his fabulous musicianship to the proceedings.
At least two of the singers I work with will be doing sets of Joni Mitchell
songs.

I am open to suggestions regarding the matters in the above paragraph.

The bar area is separate from the cabaret and would be available for
socializers and conversationalists who don't want to talk while someone is
singing.

I hope this sounds potentially inviting and that many JMDL members will come
and bring friends from the city and vicinity.

I'm not a flawless record-keeper by any means and I hope the following list
of responses I've received is accurate (and where inaccurate, doesn't upset
anyone.)
